We had the most hits to date on our Web site yesterday and we are thrilled. Welcome aboard Kentucky, Kansas, Montana, Missouri, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, Indiana and Tennessee. We are glad to have you!! Internationally, we have new fans from Hong Kong, Spain, Singapore and Canada. We appreciate every single one of you and know you will help us spread the word in our fight against hunger.
Today, the bread + butter team is heading out to get our Christmas tree. We go to a great local farm and cut it down ourselves which is really fun. Tom is always obsessed with getting the biggest tree he can find (this year we are shooting for a 12.5 footer) so he is our Clark Griswald for the day!! I am really feeling the holiday spririt this year more than I have in several years. I think this project has helped me to focus a little more on the big picture and what's really important rather than the things that normally sap the energy out of me. I have vowed not to worry so much about how the gifts are wrapped (I'm going to let Katie and Emma wrap most of them this year) or when I get my holiday cards out and just relax a little more. Please know that relaxing does not come easy to me so this will be a challenge.
Okay, time to head out. We are thinking of creating a bread + butter music video to help spread the word. Any song suggestions for us? Enjoy your Saturday. More tomorrow.
