bread + butter video of the week

Last week, I posted a video about hungry kids in New York schools. Today, I'm passing along a link to a great video on the good work of Pettengill House, Inc., the bread + butter project's first nonprofit partner. For those who don't know, 50% of our profits during the months of September and October will support the food pantry and meals programs at Pettengill. I hope you'll all take a little time out of your busy day to watch this 12-minute video. I know you'll be impressed by what you see, and I think some of you might be inspired and want to support Pettengill. You can do that in a number of different ways, including purchasing one of our products or making a direct donation of cash or food items. You can find the most needed items for the food pantry on the donations page at the Pettengill House website. Thanks and keep spreading the word.

  1. Excellent video. I did not realize Pettengill did so much beyond the food pantry.

  2. Many people don't. It is an amazing resource. The need is greater than ever so we are doing all we can. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

  3. Hi Guys, I just got my shirt. It is exactly what I wanted ...size and color. Well, let's be honest it is not the size I wanted, but size 2 wouldn't fit. LOL It is so comfy. I have recently heard that food pantries need cash more than canned goods. They can use the cash to get better deals i.e. whole sale prices where we can't get as good a deal. A cash gift goes farther. So you guys are on the right track. Thanks and glad to be a part of this. Chris Martin

  4. Chris-
Thanks for your support! Now what we want is for you send us a photo of you in your shirt for our 'get your bread + butter on' blog feature - or a video if you'd like to also do some singing. If you can't do that, please consider submitting a bread + butter recipe for change. We know how much you love to cook!
    Lots of love,
