Missing the Bread for our Butter

Hello bread + butterers,

It is Tuesday night and I thought I would check in to see how everyone's week is going. We have been busy fulfillinbg requests for our products, sending pitches to media outlets, securing additional partnerships with food pantries, working our day jobs and raising two incredible girls. Other than that, just kicking back, nothing much going on!!

My parents have been busy promoting bread + butter down in Florida where they now live. My mom has about 100 of our business cards and a single bread + butter t-shirt. That's all this woman needs. Trust me on this one. She is a powerhouse. Thanks Mom + Dad.

Emma is away on a camping field trip with her class and returns tomorrow. I miss my baby girl but know she is having fun. It is a different dynamic without the bread for your butter. I especially miss her this time of night when she is tired and slap happy and I can recognize her devious belly laugh from a mile away. It's usually in response to some toilet humor she is sharing with her sister. Let's just say it generally involves flatulence.

Okay, random question of the day: If you could spend one hour with anyone on the planet, who would it be? Our answers tomorrow.

  2. Today Show for me too, but it would be Ann Curry, not Matt. And not just because I have a huge crush on her. I would keep it totally professional and bring my family with me to talk with her for a full hour about the bread + butter project, hopefully during a live broadcast. I think she'd look great in the blue women's long sleeve T-shirt, but of course not nearly as good as Sue!

  3. I am sort of torn between Barbara Walters and Bill Gates. I'd love to ask Barbara what she has learned from interviewing many of the most influential people in the world. I'd also like to ask Bill Gates what it feels like to have inspired a new era and what someone worth billions thinks is important in life. Also, how empowering it must feel to give millions to charity.

  4. It's a toss up between Bill Clinton and Carlton Fisk. Just kidding... Bill Clinton. Of course, I would have to prep like crazy for the meeting!
