As we approach the mid-point mark in the second month of our partnership with Pettengill House, Inc., we want to remind our readers that we'll donate 50% of our profits in September and October to support the food pantry and meals programs at Pettengill. If you've been thinking about buying one of our products, and would like your purchase to help Pettengill, please be sure to place your order before October 31. After that, we'll turn our focus to a number of new nonprofit partners - one in each of the six New England states. For those in the Newburyport area, you can also help support Pettengill this Saturday by attending the Chili Con Carnival Cook Off. Find more information on the upcoming events page at Pettengill's website. If you go, wear your bread + butter shirt, and tell all the chili tasters where you got it. Can't attend? Email us your favorite affordable chili recipe, and we might post it on our blog as a bread + butter recipe for change.
