It's Better to Give Than Receive

Just in time for Christmas, we found this inspirational story on the Good Shepherd Food-Bank's website. 7 year-old Sophia received a letter from the Food-Bank, asking for her help in feeding the hungry children in Maine, and when her parents got home from work she told them that she wanted to give $50 to the Food-Bank. Her parents explained that $50 was a lot of money but Sophia insisted. Sophia had been saving her money for a toy that she wanted but decided that she would rather help feed the hungry children.
