Welcome to the Granite State

Another food bank has come on board! We are so pleased to add the New Hampshire Food Bank to the list of non-profits that bread + butter is partnering with over the next several months. This organization is an impressive one, serving as the only food bank in the entire state and distributing over 4 million pounds of donated and surplus food to nearly 350 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers, senior citizen homes and substance abuse treatment centers. These agencies in turn provide food to over 95,000 men, women and children who are hungry throughout the state. Yeah, hard to believe isn't it? We want to thank them for the difference they are making.

We are very excited to learn more about the programs offered by this organization including their Frontline, Mobile Food Pantry and Backpack Programs. Our children will spend some time over the next several weeks learning more about the needs of those in New Hampshire and can report back. In the meantime, check out the New Hampshire Food Bank's Web site here to learn more about a facility that helps feed your neighbor, the woman who sits next to you at work or the boy on your son's soccer team.
